The Jaguar changes its spots

Jaguar XJAs the years pass the environmental concern grows in western societies. We need to do something about the effect we’re having on the environment yet modern technology has made us more dependent than ever on energy. Until more global solutions are found many companies are doing their bit by developing new technologies and making cleaner, more efficient products.

A fine example is the Jaguar XJ 2.7 Diesel, elected greenest car 2009 in Great Britain by the Environmental Transport Association, in which it faced 1,300 competitors. Outperforming any other luxury car according to the EPA director, this environmentally friendly Jag takes home the award for the third year in a row. It was its amazing capacity to run 1,000 miles (1,600 km) with a single tank of fuel that confirmed the easy win in a competition based on power, emissions, fuel efficiency and engine noise.

Jaguar XJCommitted to the environmental project, Geoff Cousins, managing director of Jaguar UK proudly announced that Jaguar will continue to contribute to solutions for the environmental problems that face the planet. Great news for those who love fine cars and care about the environment.
